Ensure that you are prepared for the oral component of your IGCSE in French exam by joining our crush course. These intensive speaking revision courses are delivered by our experienced native French speaking teacher and usually arranged just before the relevant IGCSE exam in French. These courses are particularly effective in consolidating course material and provide students with simple methods to help them successfully answer examination questions in all 5 topic areas of the syllabus.

In these courses students answer verbally to questions that they might have in their oral exam. The tutor provides them with better ways of answering those questions, correct pronunciation mistakes and clarifies any grammatical mistakes that are causing them concern. Because of the nature of this course, it is delivered on a one to one basis. If the student wishes, this course can take the form of student-led speaking examination preparation where we can also concentrate on other specific areas that you would like to work on.

How does it work?

This option is performed in three stages:

  • Firstly, students will prepare answers to oral questions and send those written answers to their tutors.
  • Secondly, the student's tutor will mark their work and will provide feedback on how the answers could be improved and examples of good responses, taking into account grammatical structures and verb tenses.
  • Lastly, the students will improve their answers, taking into account the feedback that has been provided, and will then begin their actual oral sessions where students are then able to perform much better thanks to the first two stages. During the oral sessions, further mistakes such as pronunciation are corrected and students have the opportunity to practice in an exam-like setting.

This is an effective way of preparing for the oral which has led 100% of our IGCSE students getting A* in their exam.
